Were the Israelis simply not listening when Bush imparted his great wisdom during his speech in Jerusalem last week? Hello???!! Our esteemed President told them how stupid it was for leaders to “appease” the Nazi’s during the lead up to World War 2. He said you should NOT talk to your enemies. I mean, really, what would talking solve??
I take the same foreign policy lines with my wife. Whenever there’s a disagreement, I end all talks. I ignore her completely and let the threat of physical violence build with each passing day. It’s really the best policy. To quote McCain: “What’s there to talk about??”
For example, the other day she wanted to watch that romcom flick ”27 Dresses.” Me, I preferred anything else short of water-boarding. She held her ground. I held mine. What did you expect? I’m no damn appeaser. Then I ended all talks. Period.
That was about a year ago.
It’s really the best policy. We sometimes use post-it notes or hand signals if someone needs to pass the salt. But, otherwise, it’s absolute silence between us.
And now here we are. Not even a week has passed since Bush gave Israel the secret foreign policy trick that will lead us to world peace: zero diplomacy. And Israel turns around and holds peace talks with Syria.
This is an outrage. This truly reveals Israel’s inexperienced judgement and reckless behavior.
What a silly, silly nation.
